Gob smacking vintage mini dress/tunic by Abby Fredelle is covered with 12 pounds of hand prong-set crystal rhinestones! The whole dress is handmade.
It is made of and lined in silk and has a back invisible zip. The long sleeves are tapered and snap shut at cuff. It has big 1980s "Glam" shoulder pads, and the large armholes make it able to fit a variety of sizes.
The hem is gathered in to form a slight bubble.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own this designers' work.
I couldn't find much information about the designer, except for this :
March 23, 1987 article in New York Magazine re: " fancy gowns for sale at a High-end Formal Boutique in New York City. The article reads: "...the shop is having a sale featuring one-of-a-kind dresses. For example: Zandra Rhodes hand-painted silk chiffon gown was $5,000 now $1,500, Bob Mackie fully beaded rainbow long silk chiffon dress was $7,000 now $3,000. Abby Fredelle white silk crepe beaded top dress was $6,000 now $1,500, etc. Carolyn Roehm beaded silk halter dress was $2,900 now $998. So that was $6,000 back in 1987 for a dress!"
This is I am sure, one of a kind, and it is stunning- our photos really don't even do it justice- it is like wearing the most unbelievable rhinestone necklace x 100000000000!Especially in a nighttime setting.
